Transgender: A Family Perspective at Thomson Reuters

Pride at Work, Thomson Reuters’ LGBT network, invites you and your network to join us for a special event to mark Transgender Day of Remembrance. We will be joined by Mermaids to talk about the work of the charity that helps to raise awareness about gender nonconformity in children and young people.

Susie Green, CEO of Mermaids, will chat about her journey as a mother to her trans daughter and Kiran Wood will discuss his experience with his family growing up as a trans man. Jake Graf, director, writer and actor, will talk about his work in the media and with Stonewall to improve trans awareness and inclusivity.

The aim of Mermaids is to ensure that families and young people can access the support they need to empower them to achieve the best outcomes possible in often difficult times and to continue to campaign for better provision of services, and respectful media representation of trans children and young people, and their families.

When: Monday 27 November from 18:00
Where: Thomson Reuters, 30 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London E14 5EP
