Camilla joined GIRES in 2018, she has worked in the E&I sector for over 20 years. She brings extensive knowledge of business administration having managed a number of businesses. She is passionate about ensuing equal access and opportunity for all, she prides herself on working to improve organisations and peoples knowledge across the E&I sectors.

Sharon Smith, GIRES Admin Support Officer
Sharon joined GIRES in March 2021. She is supporting Camilla and the Trustees with her administration skills, including the review and updating of TranzWiki. Sharon is also taking on the membership database so is our members first point of contact.
Sharon will be supporting the GIRES Project Managers and the new General Manager throughout 2022.

Shaan Surat R Knan, MA, Legacy of Kindness, Project Manager
Shaan Knan is a London-based diversity consultant, educator and heritage professional. He is the Project Manager for the GIRES Legacy of Kindness: Telling the Story of GIRES. This project will research, document, showcase and share the rich history of the UK transgender and gender diverse charity GIRES. The project has been made possible by a grant from the Lottery Heritage Fund. GIRES will collaborate on this project with a wide range of local and national organisations including archives and community groups, including Bishopsgate Archive, Mermaids, Stonewall, and LGBT+ History Month.
Shaan is the author of ‘A Roadmap to Inclusion’ – a GIRES resource supporting trans and gender diverse people of faith. Shaan is a proud member of the Stonewall Trans Advisory Group. He also works as Trans Organisation Network Worker for the LGBT Consortium.
