Children and young people (aged from 0-25) make-up approximately one third of the population. Many children and young people (CYP) will likely interact with the NHS when they or a family member experiences a short-term health issue, a long-term chronic condition, or some kind of disability. It is therefore important to listen to and involve CYP across the healthcare system in how they experience health and care services, to shape how they are designed and delivered.
NHS England & Improvement are committed to working in partnership with CYP at all levels of the health and care system. We are recruiting four children and young people (aged 13-24 years old) to the Children and Young People’s Transformation Board to be representatives and the voice of CYP across England for a one-year term.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference to all children, young people and their families across England. You will have a key role in shaping how NHS services are shaped, planned and delivered over the next 10 years. In this pack there is more information about the Board, the role, our commitments and how to apply.
