Sexual Assault Support in Kent, Surrey and Sussex

Sexual Assault Support in Kent, Surrey and Sussex

KSS (Kent, Surrey and Sussex) each have their own SARC (Sexual Assault Referral Centre). These centres offer confidential, specialist, medical and emotional support to anyone who has been raped, sexually assaulted, or abused, regardless of when the assault happened.

If you’ve been assaulted in Kent, Surrey, or Sussex there is support out there, our helpline 0800 133 7432 is open 24/7 to speak to a crisis worker/nurse about your options. You don’t have to involve the police if you don’t want to, and any evidence collected will be stored for up to 2 years.

You don’t have to have been assaulted to ring a SARC, anyone can ring to get advice or guidance for situations involving friends or loved ones. The crisis workers and nurses have a wealth of experience and knowledge to be able to help and support you.

Each of the SARCs within KSS is set up with male and female crisis workers, so anyone coming to SARC can choose to work with a male or female crisis worker, whichever would feel more comfortable to them.

Outreach workers across the 3 counties are working hard to get the message out about the services available at our SARCs. We believe there are people out there who have been assaulted, but are not aware of the help and services available to them. Help us get the message out, if you would like to book a meeting, or presentation for your school, sports club or organisation to learn more about our SARC services, do get in contact.
