Research Project Exploring Peoples’ Experiences of Gender Identity Clinics

My name is Gemma Johnson. I am a Clinical Psychology Doctoral student at Teesside University conducting a research project exploring peoples’ experiences of Gender Identity Clinics (GICs).

Participating in the research involves completing a questionnaire and being interviewed by myself about individual experiences of Gender Identity Clinics.

It is hoped the research will highlight the experiences of people accessing Gender Identity Clinics and their views on what would enable more gender affirming healthcare reflective of the needs of people accessing these services.

If you want to take part please contact me (a1053087@live.tees.ac.uk), or my academic supervisor Alexander Shaw (a.shaw@tees.ac.uk) Tel: 01642 218 121.

If you have any questions about the project please also contact me, or my supervisor.
