The Be You Project

The-Be-You-Project-Small

The BeYou Project connects young people in Kent and Medway who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning their sexual or gender identity.

We support LGBTQ+ children and young people from ages 13-25 through group meet-ups and one-to-one support. We also provide support and advice for parents/ carers and families.

We work with schools, colleges and youth groups, and deliver training on how to overcome unintended barriers and create LGBTQ-friendly environments.

By developing a culture of understanding where everyone is free to be who they are, we can make sure that LGBTQ+ young people feel included, have positive mental health and a bright future.

Collaboration is at the heart of what we do. Our young people are consulted on many important decisions about the way we run BeYou. We want to hear what they have to say, how they want our service to develop and what topics are important to them. This helps us continually improve.
