The Southwark Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans Network was founded in 2002. It is a volunteer-run organisation that aims to support LGBTQ+ culture and communities in the borough through advocacy, social engagement, and developing links with wider support networks to deliver at a local level.Today the Southwark LGBT Network continues to support the activity and needs of the local LGBTQ+ community through fundraising and advocacy within wider local governance and community networks. The network meets with its members every couple of months as well as organising and sponsoring local events including LGBT History Month and others throughout the year.
