Breakout Youth
Breakout Youth Breakout Youth supports young people (YP) in Hampshire & the IOW who are aged between 11-25 & identify as LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay bisexual and transgender) or YP that are questioning their sexual and/ or gender identity. Our aim is to improve YP’s emotional & mental wellbeing & engagement in their local communities through providing safe, confidential spaces for YP to explore their identities, meet like-minded YP, make friends, build a community & network of support and develop life skills.

Meetings
We deliver 6 in person youth groups (Basingstoke, Andover, New Milton, Marchwood, New Milton, Southampton and the IOW) & one virtual youth group per week. In addition to our youth groups, we offer targeted 1:1 support for YP, and deliver LGBTQ+ Awareness training to YP, parents and professionals. We also facilitate several additional activity sessions for YP each year. The youth groups have themed workshops, so encourage YP have a sustained programme of learning and experience- but most of all- YP can participate in activities, have fun and build positive peer support networks.
