Porchlight

We are an NHS funded project that operates under the umbrella of Porchlight, one the biggest homelessness charities in Southeast England. This is because research has shown that LGBT+ people are disproportionately affected by homelessness. So our aim is to offer support for the community at an early age to help them build confidence and find likeminded young people to feel a sense of belonging. Hopefully that will help them to make healthy choices that will ultimately prevent future homelessness. We also work with families of young LGBT+ people in the hope that they will understand their children better and allow them space to grow and flourish in their identity rather than reject them.

Covid 19 Details:

We are still running regular meetups but we have changed the way they run because of the coronavirus outbreak. We are now running regular group video calls instead of seeing each other face to face but the groups remain a safe space for you to meet others.
