Position and Statements on Hate Crime

Thames Valley Police is determined to address and promote workplace equality between men and women. Gender and transgender is one of our ‘six strands of diversity’.

We have a duty to:

  • Eliminate unlawful discrimination and harassment on the grounds of gender.
  • Promote equality of opportunity between men and women throughout our services, policies, and employment and recruitment practices.

Gender Equality Scheme

Thames Valley Police’s Gender Equality Scheme aims to make sure that we provide an improved quality of service to the public by identifying gaps in service provision based on gender. It also aims to address gender inequality in the workplace in order to maximise the potential of our workforce
