Hate Crime causes great distress to its victims and the wider community.
This form of crime may be motivated by prejudice against an individual’s sexual orientation, sex, religion, race or disability.
Examples of hate crime may include: verbal abuse, property damage, violence, threats, offensive messages or other harassment.
Suffolk Constabulary takes this type of crime very seriously and is committed to tackling this to make our communities safer.
Its policy is to record, and investigate hate crime, and give high priority to the investigation of these incidents.
