The Men’s Room is a unique arts and health charity based in Manchester. We are the only organisation in the UK whose core mission is supporting marginalised young men and Trans people engaged in sex work or at risk of exploitation.

We work with male and trans sex workers, men with experience of sexual exploitation and homeless men, offering practical support, advice and guidance on an inexhaustible list of issues such as substance misuse, housing troubles, sexual health and mental and emotional wellbeing.

We provide a friendly, non-judgemental space where people can get advice, support and signposting, and where they can also get involved in our weekly creative sessions and longer term high quality participatory arts projects. Our staff and volunteers are experienced professionals from the fields of social work, the arts, and youth work. We work in partnership with agencies across Manchester, and are connected to national professional networks.

We speak up and speak out on issues which are important to the men we work with and which don’t get heard. The Men’s Room’s vision is to empower our service users through arts engagement to take control of their own lives, and to feel happier, healthier and more creative.
