Third Party Surveys of Gender Variant People.
Women Students' Experience of Violence
The NUS Women's Campaign is pleased to announce the launch of a survey exploring women students' experiences of harassment, violence, sexual assault and stalking. The survey aims to uncover the specific experiences of women students in relation to violence, how it affects their education, and to establish how safe or unsafe women students feel in different environments.
The survey is very trans inclusive and the NUS is trying to establish as one of the goals of the survey the level of violence or abuse trans and transsexual women may suffer over and above that by other women.
They have had a 2% response from the Trans community so far in terms of the total number of surveys complete and would like to see more replies.
The survey can be found here.

PACE are conducting a survey to explore what young LGBTQQI people’s experiences are (and consequently what their needs are) with regards to education, coming out and early sexual experiences.
The survey can be found here.

Transgender Representations in the Media Survey
Trans Media Watch, working in conjunction with the Scottish Transgender Alliance, have produced a survey aiming at finding out how transgender people experience the media. They aim to use the evidence collected to support our campaigns for better, fairer representation of transgender people in the media. They want to make sure that the views of young people and their families are properly represented.
This survey is for people living in the UK. They are asking for your input in order to help media providers develop a better, fairer and more representative service. The survey can be found here.
UK Transgender Quality Of Life Survey
The Equality Network's Scottish Transgender Alliance is working to research quality of life and health issues for transgender people. The survey measures key aspects of quality of life using internationally standardised questions designed by the World Health Organisation.
The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete.
