Anchor is a social support group for those aged 25+ assigned female at birth who identify as transmen, transmasculine, gender variant, non-binary and/or questioning.
We run fortnightly meetings in Belfast, and provide peer support (knowledge, experience, emotional, practical help to one another) in a positive and relaxed environment.
Please visit the ‘Our Meetups’ section to find about more about our meetings and how to attend.
*If you are under 25, please check out our little brother group Buoys NI.
Our Meet-ups take place on the first thursday of the month in the LGB&T centre at 9-11 Waring Street, BT12DX.
We are situated on the first floor which is accessible by a lift or stairs.
The LGB&T Centre is operated on a buzzer/camera intercom system*, so although anyone is free to just turn up to a meeting, it is best to get in touch and let us know that you’re planning on coming so we can look out for you.
*The main door to the centre is heavy and the buttons inside the internal door are quite high. Just let us know if this would cause an issue for you and someone will meet you at the front doors to assist.
Tea and Coffee will be provided.
All meetings are on from 6 - 8pm
