GIRES Trustees awarded OBE
The work of the Gender Identity Research and Education Society (GIRES) has been acknowledged in The Queen's Birthday Honours list, published on 12 June 2010. Two of the charity's trustees, Bernard and Terry Reed, have been awarded the OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in recognition of their services to the charity.
GIRES wishes to record its gratitude to each and every one of the many people who contribute to its work, including its trustees, individual and corporate members, advisors, volunteers and donors, as well as those in the voluntary, government and private sector organisations with which it collaborates. Their sustained collective support enables the charity to continue improving the lives of trans people and their families.
