On 11 October 2009, over 60 members and guests again attended the charity's annual meeting. The guests included representatives of The Gender Trust, The Beaumont Trust, Gendys, and FTM London.
continues as the Charity's Systems Engineering Advisor and Judi Brown has been appointed its Security Officer.
Donald Yule was re-elected as the charity's Independent Examiner.
The charity reported on the year's work, as described in “Highlights of 2009 to date”. The financial position remains strong and the charity's Independent Examiner commended the charity on its achievements, which he said merited an award. Members approved the charity's report and accounts for 2008.
Members also approved two further resolutions. First, in response to interest expressed by some of the organisations with which the charity works, it was authorised to permit them to become corporate members. Secondly, in recognition that undertaking ever larger contracts will impose a major burden on the time of its trustees, the charity was authorised to pay them reasonably for their services.
After the formal meeting, the charity arranged separate workshops on:
- Sustaining family relationships
- The new GIRES project for the Home Office on reporting transphobic crime
- Lower Surgery for trans women
- Laser surgery on the vocal cords for trans women
The meeting ended with a light supper.
